Painting, creating is an excruciating expression of our existence. The subject, composition, direction and application. The justification and nuance of every stoke of a brush. It's a marathon. It is work. It takes determination, physical stamina and a mental focus that may leave one spent and in need of recovery. And just as an athlete pushes themselves to the brink of what is humanly possible. The artist debuts their vision. A vindication. A celebration.

Victory and the joy, such joy.

It was the last day. A perfect day.

The following day had been forecast as a tumultuous change. Nary a leaf had fallen to rest upon the maternal bosom of the forest floor.

Presqu'ile Provincial Park was ablaze in the colours, textures, smells and sounds of the spectacular conflagration that is Autumn.

The following selection of work is based upon a

3 1/2 hour hike in Presqu'ile. October 12, 2022
